The Shroff Eye Centre in Kailash Colony, New Delhi, employs Dr. Varshini Shanker as a Consultant (Paediatric Ophthalmology, Squint & Neuro Ophthalmology).

She completed her postgraduate study and fellowship in ophthalmology at the esteemed Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai, and has since earned considerable experience working as a consultant in cataract, paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, and neuro-ophthalmology in the busiest eye hospitals in Delhi. She is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of all paediatric eye conditions, from the prescription of glasses to the surgical correction of challenging squints and nerve palsies. Hereditary retinal abnormalities, issues with binocular coordination, managing eye disorders in children with developmental delays, and eye trauma are some of her areas of expertise. She has given numerous presentations at conferences and publications on a national and international level. She also frequently addresses various parent forums in an effort to raise awareness and encourage early detection of eye diseases.

Dr. Varshini Shanker is experienced in the management of pediatric cataracts, strabismus, and ocular trauma and has also been actively involved in the training of long-term and short-term trainees in cataract surgery and pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus in association with ORBIS. Her specific area of interest is in Neuro-ophthalmology and Vision Therapy.
