- Dr. Shobha Itolikar is a student of the late Dr. K. Ramamoorthy, a renowned physician and medical teacher.
- She pursued her M.D. in Internal Medicine from Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences and D.N.B. in Internal Medicine from the National Board Delhi.
- Dr. Itolikar worked as an Assistant Professor at St. George Hospital (Sir JJ group Hospital) and Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital in Mumbai.
- She is an MUHS-approved Undergraduate and Postgraduate M.D. teacher, actively involved in medical education.
- Dr. Shobha Itolikar served as the Joint Secretary of the Journal of the Association of Physicians of India (JAPI) for six years and currently holds a position on the Editorial Board at JAPI.
