Dr. Ramon Cugat Bertomeu was born on 25 August 1950. He is a well-known orthopedic and sports injuries and has treated several popular sportsmen. Dr. Cugat has treated 1000s of footballers and most players from FC Barcelona among those being Xavi, Pep Samuel, Carles, Andres, David Villa, etc. He is currently serving as a Director of Orthopedics Surgery and Traumatology Department at Quironsalud Barcelona Hospital since 2007.

Dr. Cugat is an internationally-renowned expert in Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma Medicine and specialises in the world of sports. He is an expert in knee injuries and pioneered arthroscopic operations in Spain. He was a member of the team of orthopaedic surgeons during the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.
