Dr. Omer Farooq, FRCA, FCAI, MAcadMed, MBBS, is a Consultant Anesthesiologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.Dr. Farooq is a UK-qualified physician with over 17 years of experience in the fields of anesthesia and acute pain management. With over 50 international presentations in education and simulation training, he has a keen interest in education and simulation. Dr. Farooq is a member of the Royal College Of Anesthetists (RCoA), UK, and a member of the College of Anesthetists (CAI), Ireland.Furthermore, Dr. Farooq is affiliated with the Professional Linguistics and Assessments board, General Medical Council (GMC), UK, as a former examiner and member of the OSCE station management group and standard-setting group (OSCE). He has delivered as an instructor on various internationally accreditated life support and simulation courses that include MOET, IMPACT, CCrISP, MEPA, ALERT, and simulation training.
