Mr Christian Kinmont is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with nearly two decades of experience in the treatment and management of knee conditions, utilising both surgical and non-surgical treatments. He treats conditions such as sports injuries, arthritis, cartilage tears and osteoarthritis. Mr Kinmont currently sees private patients at the BMI Shirley Oaks Hospital.
Mr Kinmont earned his primary medical qualification at St George's Hospital Medical School in 1989, after which he undertook his specialist orthopaedic training in the South West Thames Region. He was later awarded several fellowships in London and Melbourne, and during these fellowships, Mr Kinmont developed a passion for knee surgery and sports injury treatment. Upon completion of his training and fellowships, Mr Kinmont was appointed Consultant Knee Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital, where he has since become the Senior Knee specialist within the orthopaedic department, specialising in trauma.
Since his appointment, Mr Kinmont has performed over 1500 knee replacements and continually works collaboratively with anaesthetists to ensure his patients experience as little pain as possible after surgical procedures. Mr Kinmont is also well versed in the use of non-surgical treatments such as Platelet Rich Plasma.
