Mr. Abdul Sultan is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a specialisation in Urogynaecology.

Mr. Sultan holds a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist position at Croydon University Hospital within the NHS. Additionally, he has been appointed as a Reader at St George's University of London.
His notable achievements include receiving the Hospital Doctor award for "The Continence Team of the Year" in 2005 and the prestigious overall UK Hospital Doctor of the Year award. Mr. Sultan is also active in research, with over 200 publications to his name. He co-authored the first comprehensive textbook on perineal and anal sphincter trauma and published a textbook on Pelvic Floor Disorders.
In recognition of his contributions, Mr. Sultan received the 2021 Croydon Medical Society Lifetime Achievement Award. He has also served as the past President of the Royal Society of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and the past President of the Croydon Medical Society.
Beyond his general gynaecology practice, Mr. Sultan is particularly passionate about addressing the consequences of childbirth on the pelvic floor, which can lead to issues such as bowel and bladder dysfunction, vaginal and uterine prolapse, pain during sexual intercourse, and injuries to the perineum and anal sphincter.
