Dr. Mostafa Shehata, MD, MBBCH, is a Specialist Gastroenterologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.In addition to being a faculty member of Gulf University School of Medicine, Dr. Shehata is also a faculty member of the gastroenterology fellowship program (Arab board). With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Shehata has extensive experience in managing patients with reflux disease, motility disorders, esophageal disease, swallowing difficulties, acid reflux, stomach bugs, irritable colon syndrome, chronic constipation and fatty liver disease and celiac disease (wheat allergy).Furthermore, he is contributing actively to the education of residents, GI fellows, and medical students. As well as gastrostomy feeding tube insertion, Dr. Mostafa performs upper and lower GI endoscopies for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
