Sugam Hospital has been serving the people of Chennai for more than 25 years. We have been delivering the best healthcare by bringing the most skilled medical professionals, ground breaking technology and latest procedures under one roof in Pallavaram and Thiruvottiyur, Chennai. From a humble 100 bedded hospital founded in 1991 in north Chennai Tiruvottiyur, Sugam Hospital has added another 120 bedded hospital at Chrompet, South Chennai, in August 2019.

On April 1st, 2022, Sugam Hospital has evolved into a bigger entity Sugam Medical Services Private Limited, with all state-of-the-art facilities under one roof with 250 beds, 500 staff, 9 sophisticated theatres, including 2 cardiothoracic theatres.

Hospital is approved by the Tamilnadu Chief Minister’s comprehensive health scheme to treat in all key specialties. It had also got approval to treat Medico legal and trauma cases, state government employees and pensioners. Hospital is approved by the Government of India, to treat their employees under CGHS. Sugam Hospital is one of the few hospital in the city have been approved for treating Railway Employees.

Employees of major corporate companies are treated through TPA.

Hospital has got ISO 9001/2000 certification by RWTUV India Pvt Ltd., in 2002.In order to fulfill the quality policy and to bring in Patient focus in line with the stated quality Objectives, a Continuous Improvement Programme as per ISO is established. It is periodically reviewed by the management for its effectiveness in ensuring conformance of the quality and the specified requirements of the regulatory bodies.

Sugam Hospital has obtained entry level NABH certification by the National Accreditation Board of Hospitals which is the highest body in our country for Certification of Hospitals.

Sugam hospital introduced in house CT scan facility, first of its kind in North Chennai to facilitate immediate trauma care in accident cases. Keeping the tradition of bringing the latest medical advancement to North Chennai, Sugam Hospital has started the first modern coronary Cath lab of North Chennai. Through this many lives are saved through primary angioplasty and other cardiac interventions including septal corrections and valvotomies. Our Cardiologist is one of the few in the city having the expertise to do catheter based valve replacements.

Sugam Hospital regularly conducts Educational and Sensitization programmes for Auto drivers, Factory workers and common public at various places. It also conducts regular health check up programme, free medical camp and Health awareness programme for the benefit of the public.

It is a nodal centre for distribution of Free ATT for the poor patients through a voluntary agency-ACT. Regular CME programmes are conducted for the Medical Practitioners in North Chennai on current medical updates.
