V is one of the few specialists, who got trained in Malaysia, Singapore & Bangkok to take care of patients suffering with sleep disorders particularly Obstructive Sleep Apnea (snoring related disorders).Dr. Ramana Prasad V. V graduated from Sri Venkateswara Medical College and did his post graduation from Kurnool Medical college in lung diseases. He later joined a group of pulmonologists and worked as an respiratory intensivist in a critical care unit, in Mahavir hospital, Hyderabad for 3 years before joining as consultant pulmonologist, respiratory intensivist, and sleep specialist in KIMS (Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences) Hyderabad in 2004

- Presently as consultant Pulmonologist, Intensivist and sleep specialist in KIMS, Secunderabad from Jan.2004 – till date.
- Over the years, did many Bronchoscopies, invasive procedures like pleural Biopsy. Bronchoscopie Biopsy, central lenous lines, Inter costal drainage tube insertions and intubations.
- Had the opportunity to work in allergy clinic, doing allergy skin testing for patients with allergy and asthma.
- Worked in WHO sponsored DOTS programme for Tuberculosis.
- Participated, attended, and lectured in National & International conferences workshops, CME, conducted on COPD, Br.Asthma, invasive and non invasive ventilation, Lung related disorders in HIV – AIDS and polysomnography.
- Trained in Malasia, with malasian thoracic society exclusively for sleep related disorders and polysomnography.
- Did clinical trials as Co-Investigator for
- International trial PROFESS; and for the drug IMIPENEM community acquired pneumonia.
- Co-Investigator for CILANEM at Mahaveer Hospital –2003
- Did PMS for : CIFRAN OD, ROMILAST – B, ERDOMAC
