Dr.Prasad Wagle graduated from T.N.Medical College & B.Y.L.Nair Hospital, Mumbai & Completed Masters from the same Institute in 1993.
Dr.Prasad Wagle worked as a Senior Registrar in G.I.Surgery at the same Institute for a year.
To hone his surgical skills, he joined the Tata Memorial Hospital in 1995 as a Registrar in Oncosurgery for a year.
In 1996, he joined Nair Hospital again as a Lecturer. Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic surgery & in an endeavor to gain better experience, in 1998 Dr.Prasad Wagle joined The University of Hamburg Hospital in Germany as a Clinical Fellow & worked in the Depts of Pancreatic & Liver units including transplant.
In 2006 I received Fellowship in Living Donor Liver Transplantation from The Asian Medical Centre Seoul, Korea, which is the Largest LDLT program in the world.
I have been a Visiting Fellow at Liver Unit, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK in 2006.
At present Dr.Prasad Wagle is Director & Head Dept of Liver & Pancreatic Surgery at Nanavati Hospital, & Consultant HPB & GI Surgeon at Lilavati Hospital, & Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr.Prasad Wagle have given lectures at various forums both National & International. Dr.Prasad Wagle have been an Invited International faculty at Seoul, Shanghai & Melbourne for the International IHPBA congresses. Dr.Prasad Wagle have also been part of workshops in demonstrating liver & pancreatic surgeries.
Dr.Prasad Wagle have published more than 20 articles including around 10 in peer reviewed journals. Dr.Prasad Wagle have been one of the founder members of the Indian Chapter of the International Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association – since 1997.
