Dr. N Murugan is a Consultant Hepatologist and Transplant Physician at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, adept in the management of many types of liver disorders. His initial Hepatology training was at the Chelsea and Westminister Hospital, London. Apart from treating patients with Chronic Hepatitis and Liver Cirrhosis, he was actively involved, through research, in the management of patients with Cystic Fibrosis-related Liver Disease at the Royal Brompton, London. He has also completed a Fellowship program in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, New Orleans, USA. He is well experienced in the treatment of patients with Viral Hepatitis, in managing patients with end stage liver disease, in the assessment and work up of patients prior to Liver Transplantation, pre and post-operative care, and long-term management of immune suppression in these patients.

Dr. Murugan has also received Gastrointestinal training during his time at West London GI training program. He carries with him, 14 years of experience in endoscopic procedures. He is experienced in the following diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopies.
