The heart consists of four chambers and has two sides - left side and the right side. The left side is divided into two chambers known as the left Atrium and the left ventricle and similarly the right side consists of the right Atrium and right ventricle. Further, there are four valves for the four heart chambers. Also, the pulmonary valve separates the right ventricles with the Pulmonary artery and the aortic valve separates the left ventricle and the aorta. Now when the pulmonary valve is under a lot of pressure as the right pumping chamber doesn't work properly and is unable to push blood to the lungs. In such cases a replacement valve is required in order to fulfill the requirement. The pulmonary valve is moved into the aortic valve position so that it can work normally and handle high volume of blood flow without any problem.
