Professor Paul O'Flynn is an ENT Surgeon who joined The Royal National Throat, Nose, and Ear Hospital as a Consultant in 1993. He has a unique position within the Wellington hospital's rehabilitation division, where he manages swallowing, voice, and airway disorders.
Prof. O'Flynn performs a wide variety of general ENT surgeries, such as tonsillectomy, nasal surgery, and sinus surgery. He has managed and assessed hundreds of airways and provided ICU care for patients with tracheostomies. His specific interest is in parotid gland surgery and neck lumps (including thyroid swellings). He treats a variety of conditions in the outpatient setting, including nasal blockage, ear infections, deafness, and hoarseness. At his clinics, he offers microsuction and flexible nasendoscopy.

Prof. O'Flynn graduated in 1982 and completed his training in London and Nottingham. He is a council member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Chair of the ENT Examinations Board (JCIE Board in Otolaryngology).
