**Mr Falworth is a consultant orthopaedic and shoulder surgeon who performs all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery, including arthroscopic and open surgery.** He takes a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of shoulder and elbow problems, and he uses rehabilitation and interventional radiology techniques before considering surgery. Mr Falworth uses evidence-based techniques and involves the patient in every part of the decision-making process.
**Mr Falworth graduated from King's College Hospital, London in 1996 before completing his specialist orthopaedic training in London and the South East. He then undertook further training at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Mr Falworth went on to pursue almost two years of fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery both in the UK and overseas before being appointed as consultant orthopaedic shoulder and elbow surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in 2006.**
**During his career, Mr Falworth has held several esteemed positions and is currently the elected Vice President of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS). He previously held the position of Honorary Treasurer beween 2017-'22 and was the Clinical Lead for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital's Shoulder and Elbow Unit from 2012-'17. He also currently holds the position of Chairman of the BESS Instructional Course Committee, and is responsible for coordinating educational content for the annual Instructional Course for shoulder and elbow surgeons in the UK. He also has a long list of publications in the orthopaedic literature, and he gives national and international seminars on shoulder and elbow surgery on a regular basis. Mr Falworth was awarded the prestigious BESS Copeland Fellowship in 2018, which enabled him to lecture in India over three week period in order to help project BESS's work abroad.**
