AVR/MVR is heart valve repair procedure, which is performed to correct heart valves that are not functioning properly. Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR) is described as open heart technique which involves treatment of leakage or narrowing of the aortic valve.

Aortic valve repair (AVR) is also described as an open heart procedure that is used to treat regurgitation (leakage) or stenosis (narrowing) of the aortic valve. Therefore, to explain in simple words AVR/MVR is a heart condition developed when normal flow of blood through the arteries and vessels through your heart is interrupted.

AVR/MVR symptoms involve dizziness, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, swelling in feet/ankles/belly, weight in chest, etc. AVR/MVR diagnosis is either done at the time before birth or it is also done at any point during the lifetime.
