Dr Rosemary Swallow is a consultant cardiologist who performs the majority of her private work at the Dorset Heart Clinic. Her NHS work is at the University Hospitals Dorset (UHD). She also sees patients at the Nuffield Hospital in Bournemouth.
She is an excellent Cardiologist with special interests in angioplasty and interventional cardiology, along with research interests in ischaemic heart disease. Dr Swallow works within the NHS at the UHD where she was instrumental in setting up the PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) programme that is now the largest non-surgical PCI centre in the UK. She has performed more than 5000 PCI cases including a large number of complex cases and left main stem PCI. Dr Swallow has excellent results
Dr Swallow is involved in several interventional clinical trials and has been the local principal investigator in a number of studies. She is a regular invited speaker and special panellist at Advanced Cardiovascular Intervention (ACI) presenting both at platform presentations and Angio Review sessions. Dr Swallow has also published widely in general cardiology and interventional cardiology.
