Mr Mark Farrar is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working at BMI The Harbour Hospital in Dorset. He has specialist interests in foot and ankle surgery and trauma problems, as well as hip and knee conditions.
He qualified from Queen's University in Belfast in 1986, after which he completed his basic training in the Royal Army Medical Corps during a 5-year service. Following this, he completed higher specialist training in the Yorkshire rotation before being appointed as Consultant at Poole Hospital and Bournemouth Hospital in 2000.
Mr Farrar covers all aspects of foot and ankle disorders, including bunions and arthritis. He also provides a whole range of medical procedures some of which include ankle replacement, ankle ligament reconstruction, bunionectomy, and treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis of the foot and ankle. Furthermore, he has experience in treating hip and knee conditions, including replacements, arthroscopy and the Ilizarov technique for limb lengthening.
