Dr Tan Choon Chieh completed his general surgical training in 2010. Then, he went on to finish a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery at National Cancer Centre Singapore. This was followed by a HMDP fellowship at Seoul National University Hospital where he got more training in endoscopic and robotic thyroidectomy.
In addition to managing common general surgical conditions and gastrointestinal endoscopy, Dr Tan has a special interest in thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary gland surgery. He is also active in medical education and is a curriculum planner for the General Surgery Department's training program for junior doctors.
