Professor Gordana Prelevic, Consultant Endocrinologist, is currently based at Wellington Hospital in London, UK. She has a wide range of knowledge in reproductive endocrinology, with a specific interest in polycystic ovary syndrome, menopause and infertility. She also is interested in osteoporosis.
Prof Prelevic has seen a wide range of women with complaints of issues with their period, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, hyperprolactinaemia, and hirsutism. She also has experience in seeing women with Hashimoto's disease (autoimmune thyroid disorder) who want to get pregnant. She spends a significant amount of her clinical time in the management of peri- and post-menopausal women, providing them with hormone replacement therapy (HRT). She also does this for women experiencing early menopause.
Prof Prelevic is a Professor of Medicine at the Belgrade University School of Medicine and has an extensive research history. She has published over 300 original research and review articles in peer-reviewed journals and has written for many endocrinology textbooks. She has even pioneered the use of anti-androgen therapy in PCOS.
