Dr Carole Ridge is a radiologist specializing in cardiothoracic imaging and interventional radiology. She treats patients at the Royal Brompton Hospital, Cleveland Clinic London, and One Welbeck London. She also leads the lung tumour ablation service at the Royal Brompton Hospital. Her special interest is in quantitative imaging of the lungs and heart.
Dr Ridge earned her medical degree from the University College of Dublin. She then completed fellowships in interventional oncology and MRI imaging at the renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She also trained in cardiothoracic imaging at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in New York and Boston before being appointed consultant radiologist at the Royal Brompton.
Dr Ridge is an honorary senior clinical research fellow at Imperial College London. She conducts research in the areas of cardiopulmonary imaging and interventional radiology. In 2013, she received the Radiologic Society of North America Roentgen Fellow Research Award and in 2018, she was awarded the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland medal. She also enjoys mentoring radiology and cardiology trainees.
