Dr. Tanumay Raychaudhury is an alumnus of the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore where he trained during his MBBS and MD degrees. He is a fellow in cutaneous oncology and cutaneous lymphomas at the Hospital Saint-Louis, Paris, under the present director and chief, Prof Bagot. He has also specialized in Dermato- surgery under Dr. Varlet and is a fellow of the French College of Dermatologic Surgery.
Hospital Saint-Louis is the world’s first dermatology school, where the likes of Albert, Hallopeau, Bazin, Besnier, Darien, Sabouraud, Civatte, Brock Gougerot and so many stalwarts in the history of dermatology have laid the founding stones of the specialty.
He is a national gold medalist at the three-tier national exam conducted by AIMS, Thrissur in dermatology. The International Society of Dermatology identified him as a young leader of global dermatology in 2010 at Seoul, Korea.
He is an active member of the academic group of Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology, a reviewer for 4 dermatology journals. He is a member of the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Dermatology. He is also a member of the national treatment guidelines team for skin diseases. He has authored a chapter on neonatal skin diseases in the national textbook of dermatology.
He runs the dermatology department for the Tata Medical Center in Kolkata, eastern India’s finest tertiary referral center for cancers every Tuesday.
