Prof Humadi specialises in weight loss surgery as well as in general surgery and the management of upper gastrointestinal surgical diseases. His expertise covers the following procedures:
Prof Humadi has worked as a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal & Bariatric Surgeon at Ashford & St Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2010. He developed the major weight loss pathway there and has been the lead for bariatric surgery since his appointment. He actively participates in teaching junior doctors and senuir surgeons in his NHS practice. He has worked independently as a consultant in emergency theatre, general surgery theatres and the upper gastrointestinal field. He specialises also in surgical weight loss procedures.
Prof Humadi has published and presented both nationally and internationally on various topics in bariatric surgery. He trained as a Clinics Research Fellow at Hammersmith Hospitals from 2000 to 2002 after which he undertook Higher Surgical training in General Surgery in South West England. After completing his general surgery training, he selected Upper Gastrointestinal and Baratric Surgery as sub-speciality of interest. He was trained in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, Bristol Royal Infirmay, Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, Hamburg and Paris.
In his spare time, Prof Humadi enjoys cycling, football, and tennis. Another favourite pastime of his is watching movies.
