Dr Robert Boyle is a Consultant Paediatric Allergist at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington and conducts research and teaching at Imperial College London. He also sees private patients at the New Malden Diagnostic Centre and Chiswick Medical Centre.
As an experienced paediatric specialist, Dr Boyle sees families affected by the full range of medical issues related to allergies during childhood. He has particular interests in food allergy, eczema, anaphylaxis, immunotherapy, urticaria (hives), asthma, drug and insect sting allergies.
Dr Boyle attended Medical School in Bristol, graduating in 1995 and then completed specialist training at Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham; Great Ormond Street Hospital, London and The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne. He became a Member of the Royal College Paediatrics and Child Health in 1998.
After completing his PhD in Melbourne investigating strategies for allergy prevention he continued his interest in research and has published over 300 research articles and regularly lectures at international conferences. He is a Clinical Reader in Paediatric Allergy at Imperial College London and Consultant Paediatric Allergist at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington where he co-leads the baby allergy clinic and the clinical services for allergen immunotherapy (allergy desensitisation) and drug allergy.
