Mr Ahmad Muneer Otri is a highly skilled consultant ophthalmologist who practices in Coventry, Northampton, and Leamington Spa. He specializes in the treatment of cataracts, anterior segment, glaucoma, and glaucoma ocular surface disease. With over 20 years of experience in ophthalmology, Mr. Otri has performed more than 1,500 cataract procedures to date.
Mr. Otri, who offers private consultations at The Meriden Hospital, Eyesite Eyecare Centres, and Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital, received his medical degree from the University of Aleppo. He completed his core ophthalmology training at Damascus University Hospital before moving to the UK in 2007 to pursue a PhD and a clinical research fellowship in complex cornea and anterior segment at the University of Birmingham.
Mr. Otri then completed an honorary fellowship in oculoplastic and orbital surgery at Birmingham Eye Centre, followed by a prestigious glaucoma fellowship training at Queen's Medical Centre.
As a specialist, Mr. Otri is highly skilled in the latest cataract and glaucoma treatments. He performs routine and complex cataract surgery and various laser treatments for glaucoma, including cyclodiode laser, trabeculectomy surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery such as iStent and PRESERFLO.
Moreover, Mr. Otri serves as the lead of a tertiary center of excellence in the treatment of complex glaucoma with aqueous-shunt surgery within his NHS consultant role at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.
Dedicated to providing exceptional ophthalmic care, Mr. Otri tailors his treatment plans to meet the individual needs of his patients. He is a fellow of both the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Glasgow.
