To further enhance his expertise, Mr. Sabetai sought additional experience in Aortic Root Surgery and Surgery of the Thoracic Aorta. He trained in two renowned Aortic Surgery centres in the USA, working under the guidance of experts like Dr. Hazim Safi in Texas Medical Center specialising in the surgical management of thoracoabdominal aneurysms, and Dr. Joe Bavaria at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on aortic root surgery and hybrid approaches to aortic arch surgery, involving both surgery and stenting.
After completing his training in 2011, Mr. Sabetai was appointed as a Consultant Cardiac and Aortic Surgeon at St Thomas' Hospital in 2012. He has a particular interest in surgical procedures related to the thoracic aorta, aortic root, and aortic valve.
