Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Mr Michael Booker has recently joined the LWC after having been an NHS Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 1990. He graduated in Medicine in 1978 from the University of Liverpool and then undertook specialist postgraduate medical training. His involvement with fertility and IVF started in 1984 at King's College Hospital, London. Within the field of gynaecology, he has a specialist interest in Fibroids, Myomectomy surgery, Endometriosis, Fertility IVF, Operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, management of menopause, Tubal Microsurgery and male fertility. He is a Special Skills Trainer in transvaginal ultrasound with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has had an interest in research into the treatment of infertility since 1984. He has a special interest in male infertility and surgical sperm retrieval, and in addition to his role at LWC, he offers reproductive surgery, general gynaecology and early pregnancy care at the BMI Shelley Oaks Hospital in Croydon.
