Dr Kamal Sawhney is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician with over 26 years of experience in his field. His private practice is currently based at the BMI Syon Clinic, BMI The Chiltern Hospital and BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital. He also works within the NHS and sees patients at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. His areas of specialism are community child health, paediatric neurodisability, growing pains, reflux and colic, threadworm, blood in stool, blood in vomit, childhood obesity, in toeing and gait abnormalities. He also has specialist interests in epilepsy, growth disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism.
Dr Sawhney qualified in Medicine at LLRM Medical College, Meerut University in India in 1982. He later relocated to the UK and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 1995. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and holds professional memberships with the British Medical Association, the Medical Protection Society and the British Association for Community Child Health.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Sawhney is involved in education and offers courses and talks to GPs at BMI Chiltern Hospital. He has also been involved with training junior doctors in general paediatrics and safeguarding including ADHD, neurodevelopmental problems and neurodisability.
