    About

    One of Chennai's top pulmonologists, Dr. Narasimhan R has been practising for more than three decades. He specialises in treating bronchitis, upper and lower respiratory infections, and bad breath. His particular research interests include bronchial thermoplasty, endobronchial ultrasound, and transbronchial cryobiopsy of the lung.

    He has done the most pleuroscopies in India and more than 11000 diagnostic bronchoscopies (the greatest number in South India). He served as both the President of the Indian Association for Bronchology and the Editor in Chief of the Indian Journal of Bronchology from 2003 to 2006. (2012-2013). The doctor has received numerous honours, including the Rotary Club of Madras North West's Best Teacher Award and Vocational Excellence Award for performing the most diagnostic bronchoscopies in South India.

    Dr. Narasimhan has given more than 500 presentations on a range of pulmonary disorders and is a faculty member for numerous national and international conferences. He writes frequently for The Hindu, a renowned national daily Academic Honors, in the Health Watch section.
