In addition to working on faecal microbiota transplantation, Dr. Jamwal has a wealth of experience in the fields of fatty liver, gastrointestinal bleeding, biliary tract disorders, and advanced endoscopy procedures in liver diseases. His clinical interests include the spectrum of NAFLD, the metabolism of bile, enterohepatic circulation, the biliary tree, which includes the gallbladder, bile duct, and the pancreas, as well as GI bleeding and portal hemodynamics. He formerly held the positions of Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead in the Department of Gastroenterology at the Center for Liver and Digestive Diseases at Dharamshila Narayana Super Specialty Hospital before joining Artemis. He was formerly connected to the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences as an Assistant Professor.
He has represented India at a number of international academic and business forums, including the Indo US Biopharma Summit, DDW, APDW, and AASLD. During his time at ILBS, he travelled to Kyushu University in Japan to receive training in third space endoscopy and mucosal dissection. He then went to the famed Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA, where he visited the Department of Advanced Endoscopy. There, he learnt how to perform sophisticated ERCPs and how to use mucosal suturing tools. He has a tonne of articles to his name in both international and domestic magazines.
