The majority of Dr. Abdelhaq's obstetrics and gynaecology training took place in prestigious hospitals in the UK and Ireland, where he worked for more than 22 years, including 14 as a full-time consultant. His career in the UAE spans more than six years.

He has authored numerous publications, including original papers that have been printed in reputable journals, and he has also presented original papers in conferences held abroad in Malaysia, Egypt, and Jordan.

Between 2000 and 2013, he served as a Senior Lecturer and Examiner in the University Hospitals where he worked.
