Dr Keith Hussey is a highly skilled Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon. He obtained his MBChB at Dundee University and subsequently engaged in postgraduate training in the northeast of Scotland, followed by additional training in Glasgow. His dedication to advancing his expertise led him to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia, where he spent 14 months honing his skills. During this period, he developed a particular interest in ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, a specialised treatment approach.
Upon his appointment as a Consultant in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Dr Hussey has remained committed to medical education, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He actively contributes to medical education locally in Glasgow and collaborates with institutions such as the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow.
Currently, Dr. Keith Hussey holds the position of lead clinician for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and NHS Forth Valley. In his clinical practice, he offers a comprehensive range of surgical and endovascular arterial reconstruction services. Furthermore, he has continued to expand and refine his expertise in ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, focusing on patients with skin complications related to superficial venous disease and varicose veins.
With his extensive experience and dedication to advancing vascular and endovascular surgical techniques, Dr Hussey plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to medical education in his field.
