Mr Gerry Kelly is an esteemed Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in trauma surgery, complex limb reconstruction surgery, sports injuries and the surgical treatment of all foot and ankle conditions. He has vast experience working with both adults and children, and is widely recognised for his expertise in complex deformity correction and fracture surgery. Mr Kelly currently works at Musgrave Park Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, providing top-quality care to patients from across Northern Ireland.
Mr Kelly graduated from Queen's University Belfast in 2009. He successfully completed the Northern Ireland Orthopaedic Higher Surgical Training programme and went on to achieve a higher degree in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery through the University of Edinburgh. In 2018 he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (Trauma & Orthopaedics).
He then went on to successfully complete the world-renowned Liverpool Foot & Ankle surgery fellowship under the guidance of respected professionals Mr Andy Molloy and Prof. Lyndon Mason. He also completed the highly prestigious Complex Limb Reconstruction fellowship in Liverpool under the experienced tutelage of respected professional Mr Badri Narayan.
Mr Kelly is widely known for his high-quality clinical work, and has received multiple awards for his efforts in improving patient experiences and safety. He frequently publishes and presents his findings nationally and internationally.
