Mr. Sanat Shah serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a role he has held since 2003. With a focus on subspecialty service in lower limb arthroplasty, Mr. Shah brings extensive experience and expertise to his practice.
Having completed postgraduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery in Manchester and Southampton, Mr. Shah specialises in hip and knee surgery, offering a range of services including hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacements, and arthroscopy. He also has a special interest in hip and knee pain in young adults.
Mr. Shah is at the forefront of innovation, having introduced Robotic Assisted Hip and Knee Replacements to his practice. He consults and operates at the Alexandra Hospital and Spire Manchester Hospital in the private sector, providing comprehensive care to his patients.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Shah is actively involved in research and audit, regularly collecting outcome data and contributing to national joint registries. He has received recognition for his contributions to education, including the North West School of Surgery Certificate of Excellence in Education in 2018.
