Dr. Al Shidi is highly trained in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. He had been practicing medicine for last 14 years gaining substantial experience in General Internal Medicine, Acute Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Al Shidi possesses a Specialty Certificate Exam (SCE) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, UK, in Acute medicine. Furthermore, he obtained a Critical Care Medicine Fellowship certificate from Queen’s University, Canada, and an Internal Medicine Board certificate from the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) & Internal Medicine MRCP (London) certificate.Dr. Al Shidi was a very front-line physician during the COVID-19 pandemic where he worked for 2 years at extremely busy COVID-19 lockdown Hospital in Al Ain city managing patients in all hospital’s floors including Intensive Care Units, regular floors & the Emergency Department. The work load was at the disaster level of triage for several months. He was in charge for hospital physician rolling schedule for admission wards. He was a lead & cornerstone COVID-19 fighter throughout the pandemic time.Dr. Al Shidi provides high-quality & compassionate care for his patients and had been a Quality Chair Assistant for the Internal Medicine departments at SEHA tertiary hospital. Moreover, he has been teaching, coaching, and examining medical schools and residency programs trainee for the past five years. Dr. Al Shidi trains and mentors residents and medical students in non-technical skills and promotes best-practice multidisciplinary medical rounds.
