Mr Richard Cohen is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at King Edward VII's Hospital and Divisional Clinical Director of GI services at University College London Hospital. He has many years of experience in Colorectal Surgery and has introduced several new surgical techniques to the UK.
Mr Cohen completed his undergraduate training at Trinity College of The University of Cambridge and went on to spend two years in research at Yale University before returning to his Registrar and Senior Registrar training in Manchester and London.
Mr Cohen became Resident Surgical Officer at St. Mark's Hospital and was appointed as Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in 1999. In 2005 he joined University College Hospital London as Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer.
Mr Cohen has an interest in research and education and he co-supervises fellows in research in Crohn's disease and pelvic floor disorders. He also lectures nationally and internationally and is involved in training surgeons.
